83 Selected to Join the U.S. Frontiers of Engineering Symposium

The National Academy of Engineering's (NAE) 20th annual U.S. Frontiers of Engineering (USFOE) symposium has selected 83 youthful engineers to participate in the festivities. These individuals between the ages of 30 to 45 were selected from 300 nominees as next leaders in engineering research and technical work. Their work spans academia, industry, and government.

The USFOE will be at the National Academies' Beckman Center located in Irvine, California between Sept. 11-13. The symposium will focus on four areas of engineering: batteries, robotics,  shale gas / oil, and technologies for the heart.

NAE President C. D. Mote, Jr. said, “the USFOE symposium is the perfect network for these talented, early-career engineers to develop those personal and professional relationships that will shape their work and ultimately impact our world.”

Speakers from Ford, FDA, DOW, Google and more will head the lineup. For a complete list of participants, speakers, and organizers follow the source at the NAE.
