Mathematica 10 Launches with 700+ New Functions

At the beginning of this month, Mathematica 10 was launched.  As enjoyable as it is to see a new release of a flagship product, especially one that contains more new features in this release than the original version had total, it is more enjoyable to see Stephen Wolfram's vision take shape.  From Wolfram|Alpha to the Wolfram Language along with the Wolfram Cloud and Wolfram Programming Cloud, Mathematica 10 finds itself host to all the lessons learned from each of those seemingly independent developments.

Existing users of Mathematica will find comfort in the improved usability of Mathematica 10 in terms of themes, autocompletion, and connection to the Knowledge Base.  Power users will enjoy the consumerization of algorithms that were once reserved for experts.  New users may find their way to Mathematica 10 simply because it can do things no other mathematics software can without significant custom programming, if at all.  With 700+ new features, this post can't list them all.

My favorite part about Mathematica 10?  It has so much more to do than maths.  There is a beauty in what Mathematica can do, and it's not just crunching numbers.
