Katherine Pendergraph, project engineer at Northrop Grumman, wins Most Promising Engineer Award at AAEOY.
For 14 years, Asian-American Professionals across the US have been honoured at the Asian-American Engineer of the Year (AAEOY) awards. This year’s “Most Promising Engineer” award goes to Northrop Grumman’s project engineer, Katherine Pendergraph.
The AAEOY recognizes Asian American professionals for their work in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). A candidate’s strong leadership, public service and technical achievements are all taken into consideration when judging the award. Previous winners include academicians, corporate executives, astronauts and even Nobel Laureates.
For her win, Pendergraph works in Northrop Grumman’s Information Systems sector. At Northrop Grumman she verifies and validates the development and operations of communications systems. Additionally, she has worked on missile and HALE (High-Altitude, Long-Endurance) programs.
As for her work with the STEM community, Pendergraph is a mentor and role model through Northrop Grumman’s Associates program serving young men and women from minorities. She is also a member of the Society of Women Engineers.
